Process Information

Our selection process involves a number of stages but don’t forget – you’re assessing us right back! As much as we’re trying to assess your fit for our business, it’s important you take the time throughout the various stages to make sure we feel like the right place for you to thrive! Here’s what you can expect from our selection processes once you’ve made the wise choice to apply for a graduate role with us:

Application Form
Here we’ll ask you to tell us all about yourself! Promise it won’t take you too long – only about 10 minutes or so. We want to learn more about what you’ve studied, your achievements, and your aspirations for the future. We’ll ask you to complete a few pre-screening questions which will allow us to review your application and begin assessing your suitability for our business and graduate program.

Next up comes some online testing. Here we’ll be looking for your capability in verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. All crucial in ensuring your success with us!

Video Interviews
Video interviews might seem a little intimidating, but here’s where we really start to find out more about you! We ask a few questions relating to your interest in working for us as well as some key competencies required for your future role.

Assessment Centres
Finally we meet! When successful in the previous stages, you’ll be invited to attend a session in either Melbourne or Sydney (we’ll ask you to cover the cost of any travel to these but we’re sure you’ll find it a worthwhile investment). You’ll be asked to participate in a range of activities so we can see how you think and collaborate with others which could include both individual and group activities. This stage is also where you really start to get to know us! You’ll get to meet some Martians and hear more about life at Mars and our program offering. We’ll also have plenty of our delicious products on offer for you to keep your energy up throughout the day.

Final Round
Remember how we said it’s about you assessing us too? Well this is a top opportunity! Here we’ll arrange for you to head to one of our sites for final assessment interviews (don’t worry - we’ll cover the expenses). This way, you can get to check out one of our amazing regional hubs! You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about our business segments, interact with our products and learn how they’re manufactured, plus get to know our associates - current graduates and leaders in both formal and informal settings.

As part of our processes you’ll also need to go through a pre-employment health assessment to make sure you able to carry out the duties of the roles safely.

Our ideal candidates will be naturally collaborative and curious. You’ll know how to get things done, through formal and informal channels. You will also have examples of how you demonstrate accountability and delivery of consistent results.
